At Vela we treat candlemaking like cooking. All it takes is the right recipe, quality ingredients, a dash of creativity, and a pinch of patience to make the perfect candle!
Our studio is designed to feel like you are stepping into a friend’s kitchen — open, warm, and full of character. Shelves are lined with ingredients and tools you can see and reach, ready to be used. The butcher-block tables are where everything happens, and our kitchen is out in the open - nothing is behind closed doors. It’s simple, personal, and a little imperfect in the best way — the kind of space where you instantly feel comfortable rolling up your sleeves.
From classic soy candles to custom massage candles, wax melts, and accent arch candles, every class is a full start-to-finish experience where you’ll learn about the ingredients we use, why we use them, and how they come together.
Our workshops are perfect for friend hangouts, birthdays, date nights, team events, celebrations, or a cozy rainy-day activity. All our workshops are beginner friendly! Whether you come solo or with your crew, you’ll leave with a candle (or two) that looks amazing, smells incredible, and tells your story.
